The Presidential Candidates on Defense | Military Times
Should be the #1 issue of every person voting. Cruz/ Rubio are the only 2 responsible choices.

Marco Rubio

Rubio's defense spending proposals are more modest than Cruz's but would still be a sizable jump from current levels — about $100 billion more per year than military officials are seeking in fiscal 2017.

That would buy an Army of 490,000 soldiers and maintain the Marine Corps at 182,000. Rubio said that would restore the military's pre-2001 end strength and allow military officials to station additional brigade combat teams in Eastern Europe “to deter Russian aggression.”

The Presidential Candidates on Defense | Military Times

I stopped reading at the pink bolded. Translation: I will give the Marines and soldiers job security. (time to bow down to me), I will feed them and send them to another useless war.

Wow, just wow.

For all too many veterans, these are common experiences—lingering symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It’s hard living with untreated PTSD and, with long V.A. wait times, it’s easy to get discouraged. Many don't even want to seek professional help.

He (Rubio), is one of the most hawkish voices in the Senate. He should calm the hell down.

Ted Cruz

Cruz said the country needs to be prepared to invest at least 4.1 percent of the country's gross domestic product into defense during the first two years of his presidency.

He the definition of a chickenhawk, yet he is alleged to be the moderate, responsible choice - bizarro world reasoning.

Bernie Sanders:

Quote:
Of the remaining candidates, the independent Vermont senator has been the least friendly to pleas from military advocates for more funding.

During the last Democratic debate, he mentioned the Defense Department as an area where wasteful spending could be cut and significant savings found. He has pushed back against Republican assertions that the military is dangerously underfunded, and blasted profiteering by defense contractors.
Yea, I'm going to vote for someone who wants to spend MORE money on the military.

What has happened to the American voter? How on earth does anyone in this country believe we need to spend more money on defense when we spend more than the next 10 countries right behind us in spending?

No wonder we are trillions in debt.
