I think Trump not immediately denouncing Duke may have been a bridge too far in his un-PC stance, but he did denounce them later and has in the past denounced Duke and White Supremacists.
We will see if his late response matters to voters. I doubt it. I don't think Trump is a bigot or racist.

Maybe not, but he knows his core supporters are. That's why he hemmed and hawed instead of denouncing Duke and the KKK outright. It should not have been something he had to think about, but he knows his base and couldn't do it. That speaks volumes about who Trump is, and even more about who supports him.
LOL, that's pretty rich coming from Paul Ryan and the modern Republican party. 2-3 years ago Ryan's only newsworthiness was criticizing the black community.

I don't believe his core supporters are in favor of the KKK. THat is a small demographic.

Its like being asked "do you like pedophiles?"......Hell No! should be the first words out of your mouth - not "I'll analyze it" "I have to know more about the pedophile"......your initial response is usually very telling.

Absolutely. Why did he need to think about it? There's only two possible explanations--either he is a racist himself, or he worried that those who support him would be offended by his outright denouncement. The third possible reason--that he didn't know who the KKK was--is too preposterous to seriously entertain. If THAT is true, then Trump has just admitted that he is too stupid to be president.
Maybe not, but he knows his core supporters are [racists and bigots].
Do you have proof of that? I don't know that is true.
The polls I've read say his core supporters are high school graduates, older, blue collar workers, fly over state residents, Christians, men and women, old and young.

It's absurd that the KKK, or White Supremacists are Trump's core supporters. They are at best a tiny percentage of the people that support him.

Yes, very small. Thankfully it's a demographic that is shrinking everyday in this country.

It's already been covered several times why you don't play the game of "what do you think of this group, or that group" with the press. They are only trying to force you into a corner, with no way out.
Trump should have told them that, "I'll answer that question when you ask it of all of the other candidates."

He must think it's true. If not, why was he not able to denounce Duke and the KKK outright? That seems like a no-brainer, but he insisted he needed to study up on it first. What reason do you think he had if not a worry about offending his supporters?

Do you seriously think any other candidate, on the left or the right, would have said they'd have to think about it first?
