Absolutely. Why did he need to think about it? There's only two possible explanations--either he is a racist himself, or he worried that those who support him would be offended by his outright denouncement. The third possible reason--that he didn't know who the KKK was--is too preposterous to seriously entertain. If THAT is true, then Trump has just admitted that he is too stupid to be president.
You forgot his explanation about the headset.
He had previously stated he did not want or need Duke's support.
He must think it's true. If not, why was he not able to denounce Duke and the KKK outright? That seems like a no-brainer, but he insisted he needed to study up on it first. What reason do you think he had if not a worry about offending his supporters?
I wouldn't know and couldn't venture a guess about Trump's thinking, JAMS. He's run a brilliant campaign. It would be an interesting question to ask him.
He also said he would support whomever the Republican nominee is. That shows he is not sincere and the entirety of whatever else he said was nothing but hot air.
Wink, Wink! The Republican party is a cesspool of bigotry. That is why they got the South all wrapped up.
Trump can say whatever he wants, but Ryan will always be a way bigger bigot than Trump by what hes doing to block the Voting Rights Amendment Act. Typical nu-Con. Says one thing, does another. Ryan is a proven bigot, repub/"conservative"(laff laff) voters are either too uneducated to get it or they are for it.
Very disingenuous of the republiklan to bring up anything race related.
Do you have proof of that? I don't know that is true.
The prestigious and nonpartisan Cook's Political Report has published a report, complete with supporting polls and data, to make a convincing argument that Trump's success in the deep south states is because of voters' racist resentment. Their stated thesis is:
Quote:
The reason Trump won South Carolina and is likely to romp to victory in the southern Super Tuesday states is the persistent importance of race in Southern politics.
This whole "white supremacist" think is really being overplayed. Of course, if you had anything of substance to post, we wouldn't have half a dozen threads on this.
No one really cares that supports Trump and that includes black people that support Trump. The only ones who are making an issue of this are the anti-Trumps and, frankly, they are backing losers so their opinion doesn't amount to, well, you know.
Seriously? The GOP is so afraid of Trump that they are throwing the kitchen sink at him trying to bring him down in the public eye.
I saw yesterday that Trump found and posted a photo of Hillary with Bill Cosby she in return put up one of Trump with OJ Simpson ! Seriously? WHo doesn't have some type of negativity that can be dug up and displayed? It is all pretty petty.
Trump has already supposedly upset the latino vote with the Build the Wall ranting. I don't know why the establishment thinks this is bad considering that the people who immigrated here legally, who love this country enough to become citizens and be able to vote are about to be punched in the gut when everyone but Trump and Cruz are ready to hand the illegals amnesty. giving rights to 11 million illegals IS going to crush the other immigrants that followed the rules not to mention the struggling lower and middle class that feel the punch to.
I saw yesterday that Drumpf found and posted a photo of Hillary with Bill Cosby she in return put up one of Drumpf with OJ Simpson ! Seriously?
Do you have a link? I get all HRC's campaign social media feeds (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and I didn't see anything like that. In fact, she's never posted an image of him or mentioned him by name that I recall.
I'm wondering if maybe it was one of her supporters that posted it, instead of her?

I don't have time to analyze the poll today, but I will. Thanks for posting it, biscuit.
Trump won primaries in New Hampshire and Nevada, as well as having a strong showing in Iowa primary, which aren't Southern states, however. Some of "The Deep South" is voting today.
