I don't think there is a single unified Republican "agenda."

It's my impression that the Evangelical Faction, whose champion is Ted Cruz, is socially very conservative and have put things like abortion, Planned Parenthood, same sex marriage, gay rights, religious privileges, etc.

I know folks who identify with the Tea Party Faction, that is focused on high taxes, big government, and federal over reach. In fact they are indifferent to Planned Parenthood and gay marriage.

There are still a minority in the GOP who are moderate centrists ... many who supported McCain and Romney (who recently blasted Trump).

I can't for the life of me figure out why people think he is liberal. I would think a guy that wants immigration reform, improve the economy, and rebuild the military would be considered a conservative.

What policies do you think Trump is liberal on?
Planned Parenthood, abortions, and religious right issues. He's not religious (never has been until Iowa), universal healthcare, wealth redistribution...

Religious issues are not really that important to many conservatives. I can understand conservatives not liking universal healthcare, but the tax thing is a wash. Trump said he would raise some taxes, and lower others. If in the end, his strategy works, and the economy improves, it would be hard to complain about millionaires, and billionaires paying slightly higher taxes under Trump.
