There were 367 delegates available yesterday. Depending upon how Missouri ends up, Trump won 238 of them. This is 65% of available delegates.

This is well ahead of the 60% that some say he can't hit.

"Past performance is no indication of future performance."

Different states.

Every expert/pundit I heard last night said winning 60% of remaining delegates would be real tough. But what do they know.

Yup.
And almost half of his delegates were secured before the RNC ever believed Trump was in the race seriously. Now that the establishment is in full force opposing him, the rest of the votes he needs will be a lot harder to get. But, for the RNC, I think even a massive effort countering Trump will be too little, too late.
And will only make the convention's floor fights more vicious when they happen.

How they were so oblivious will go down in the history books. Much to the Committee's eternal regret.

Huh? I am positive the establishment took him very seriously way before Iowa . . . . and then he was #2 in Iowa and #1 in NH.

Every expert pundit out there also said that Trump wasn't a real candidate and had no chance to be nominated. Some even said he would drop out. MSM Pundits have been close to 100% wrong about Trump.

Primary now moves to "winner take most" and "winner take all" states. Things get far worse for Cruz now. Cruz lost all 6 races yesterday, and won only a handful of candidates vs the est 238 that Trump got.

"Cant stump the Trump!" Trump 2016!

Did anyone hear Cruz's speech last night? You would have thought he won by the way he was speaking. LOL.

Dementia is a bad disease, must have caught it from Kasich.

Fair enough. We shall see, won't we?

On that I agree with you. Many of the upcoming primaries are in the NE and Mid-Atlantic where Cruz will not do well. Kasich will do a lot better, but I don't think he can win over Mr. Trump.

I disagree! Nobody including his own party thought he would make it this far and be an almost shoe in for the nominee. They dismissed him as a "sideshow", "clown", etc.. They said he would drop out before releasing his tax returns or that he was only doing it for the publicity and eventually drop out.

He left almost everyone scratching their heads and turned the GOP upside down! Every controversial comment he made and/or every attack ad only made him stronger. The fiasco in Chicago only gave his supporters more motivation to come out and show their support. He's the true Teflon Don!

They both have to put the best spin they can on their dire situation.
