Anchors of anchors? No surprise that the majority of Americans are fed with these scapegoating tactics, and far-right conservatism in general.
Fail. If anchor babies should not be citizens then kids of anchors should not be citizens

I came across this poll being discussed on two conservative sites, and the posters there were pissed at how Trump is destroying the real conservative agenda. You can blame the messenger, in this case the nonpartisan American think tank Pew Research, but it doesn't change the message.
Yet, these same so-called "conservatives" had no problems supporting and electing RINOs. What a bunch of hypocrites!

Do you consider Trump a conservative?

On some issues, yes. On others, no. Why do you ask? If he ran as a democrat and was saying the exact same things he is saying now, he would still get my vote. I'm not one to vote the straight party line, be it D or R, like some do.

Nobody cares what you think they should or should not be.

They are US citizen RIGHT NOW, armed with a vote that counts every bit as much as yours. Deal with it.

LOOK IT UP. Illegals and visa overstayers ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE UNITED STATES and their anchor babies are not legit citizens.

Look at the wong kim ark case. He was granted citizenship because his parents were here legally at the time of his birth.

Lol @ this Google constitutional scholar. Even super conservatives like Ted Cruz disagree with your laughable interpretation of the 14th.

Texas was even denied the right to ban illegal immigrant children of an education back in 1983. The SCOTUS rationale mentioned something about these kids being subject to the jurisdiction of the US.

But yeah, babies born on US soil aren't actual citizens. Keep dreaming.

The fact is that most illegal immigrants in the U.S. come in through airports and ship ports and just overstay their visas. A wall has no effect on those and the stats say more are leaving the U.S. than coming from Mexico.

Then, the complexity of the wall makes it impractical. It will cost many billions of dollars, take years to build; require the cost of building every seven years in maintenance; will require taking 1,000 miles of private lands away from Americans, etc.
They don't want to hear about the big picture. Trump said that Mexico will pay for the wall.

Conservatives have no one to blame but themselves for this. They created this "monster" and now they have to deal with it and can't stop it.

Lmao, oh man, that's a good one.

Oh, money and land you say? Hmm, where have I read this before..oh yes yes yes! You mean just like whites did when they took over Texas(Mexico) and killed the Native Americans back in the 17 and 1800s?

Whites? What difference does it make what race any of those Europeans were? Agenda, much? There were no native Americans when this country/continent was discovered. All of our ancestors migrated here from somewhere else. As for killing the "indios" there were atrocities committed on both sides. The descendants of the tribes that settled within our borders are all U.S. citizens today so what's your beef? It certainly doesn't negate our modern day immigration laws.

What changed?

In a word: Trump. As one pundit put it on Twitter: "It could be that Trump has made the issue so his thing that it basically meant if you're against Trump you're against the wall."
They probably called a lot of illegals and got that response.. after all they have I phones and land line phones too.
