There is Campaigner Trump and there can be President Trump....
And there is Narcissistic Trump, Insulting Trump, Megalomaniac Trump, Misogynistic Trump, Intolerant Trump, Egotistical Trump, Adolescent Trump, Ignorant Trump, Delusional Trump, Bully Trump and quite a few other descriptive terms.
The tragic part of seeing him in action is that is vividly illustrates what happens when a completely self-absorbed person surrounds himself with a stable of enablers. I doubt that anybody in his extended circle has ever had the guts to take him aside and give him a dose of harsh truth and reality.
Under no circumstances could I envision him winning a general election regardless of who the opponent was, but if he proves to be the choice of voters, then give the people who and what they want.

And there IS, not can be but is the Trump who has shown little/no interest in anything but himself for 30+ years with absolutely no evidence winning an election would change that.
BTW did you hear Trump yell students not to use drugs and careful with alcohol and not to smoke cigarettes.?
That is setting a good example for the youth who now only are cool if they use Marijuana and the current president is very proud to tell everyone how he smoked that stuff
It is time to get some decency back and have a president who sets a good example and tells bullies that he will not sit back but fight back with words and that is good for young people to understand.
Don't be a wimp buy stand up for yourself and if you work hard you CA acieve your goal and always set expectations high.
Trump is successful and when Obama came in office he was successful as well but he and Michele only were telling how difficult their life had been and how black people had to fight so much.
Barack and Michele both were debt free out of College with full rides...that's how difficult theor life was.
Tell that to the people in Chicago and Baltimore and NY.
Time is history that color made a difference to get a job.
Just look at the president and he claims to be black and got the highest job in the country.
O.J was defended by lawyers of different races and backgrounds. Don Lemon and other hosts on TV are black and nobody cares as they either do their job well or not.
Michael Jackson and Diana Ross and many others were among the most famous singers of all time and people of all races admired them and many fainted just seeing them.
Donald Trump is letting people know that they will be successful if they get up and work hard so IMO by stopping the PC crap. Trump already proven to be successful.
There is Campaigner Trump and there can be President Trump...and the two can be vastly different. We only have to look at Obama to see this paradox...Obama was a masterful campaigner, convincing the majority of this country that he would be The Messiah of 'Hope and Change'. As president, he not only fell short of executing, but may have even delivered the direct opposite.
We now have The Republican opposite...Campaigner Trump, whose campaign seems to be like nothing that this country has seen in our lifetime. The media, political pundits, party establishment, and scholars have predicted his demise, over and over again, just to watch him grow stronger...the direct opposite of how they treated Obama in his campaigns. Trump "shoots from the hip", says crazy things, changes his mind and has seemed to run a campaign that would have brought others down long ago. He truly is a 'Campaigning Enigma!'
So, if we are presented with the masterful campaigner (Obama) who turned out to be a divisive president...Who's to say that we are not witnessing the divisive campaigner (Trump) who may turn out to be a masterful president?
The decision will, again, be left to the majority.
Ronald Reagan was in a similar position as Trump when he ran and people were making him out to be a no good actor and fool.
Nowadays he is seen as one of the best Presidents.
The reason the establishment is so scared of Trump is that he isn't a puppet on a string like Obama was and Bush, Rubio, Ryan and Romney.
That makes Trump already a better President as he is not in the bag of the GOP and what we have seen for decades.
Stop making up stuff to fit your agenda. There are no similarities between Reagan and Trump except they were both originally Democrats who eventually became Republicans and ran for the GOP presidential nomination.
Reagan was an experienced and respected Republican politician by the time he ran for POTUS in 1980. He had been governor of California from 1966-1975 and ran for the GOP presidential nomination in 1968 and 1976. He first got into politics through his work with the Screen Actors Guild back in the 1950s, and served as its president IIRC.
Reagan thought before he answered questions, and he actually made sensible proposals because he was well versed on the topics of the day. Reagan had a pleasant personality and demeanor, and he never publicly insulted anybody. Being rude, crude, and obnoxious was foreign to his nature. Even if people didn't like his policies, they liked him personally.
