Thank God

IF
the country's already been destroyed as you allege, WHY would you believe God gives a rat's patootie about American politics?

Reagan was an experienced and respected Republican politician by the time he ran for POTUS in 1980. He had been governor of California from 1966-1975 and ran for the GOP presidential nomination in 1968 and 1976. He first got into politics through his work with the Screen Actors Guild back in the 1950s, and served as its president IIRC.

Reagan thought before he answered questions, and he actually made sensible proposals because he was well versed on the topics of the day. Reagan had a pleasant personality and demeanor, and he never publicly insulted anybody. Being rude, crude, and obnoxious was foreign to his nature. Even if people didn't like his policies, they liked him personally.

Actually, there is one more big similarity between Trump and Reagan: Trump is the first presidential candidate since Reagan in 1980 to gain serious traction without a penny of funding from the CoC or APAIC.

Like the President's cabinet?

Or the kind of cabinet where you lock the door and hide the key?

The latter type.

No he hasn't. He may have done things you (and some that I) don't like, but he has certainly not destroyed the country on the level a Trump presidency might.

Please leave God out of this. Pretty sure "Thou Shall Build a Wall" didn't make the cut for the Ten Commandments.

There's another big similarity, they both wear Teflon coats as far as their supporters are concerned.

We only have to look at Obama to see this paradox...Obama was a masterful campaigner, convincing the majority of this country that he would be The Messiah of 'Hope and Change'. As president, he not only fell short of executing, but may have even delivered the direct opposite.

We now have The Republican opposite...Campaigner Trump, whose campaign seems to be like nothing that this country has seen in our lifetime. The media, political pundits, party establishment, and scholars have predicted his demise, over and over again, just to watch him grow stronger...the direct opposite of how they treated Obama in his campaigns. Trump "shoots from the hip", says crazy things, changes his mind and has seemed to run a campaign that would have brought others down long ago. He truly is a 'Campaigning Enigma!'

So, if we are presented with the masterful campaigner (Obama) who turned out to be a divisive president...Who's to say that we are not witnessing the divisive campaigner (Trump) who may turn out to be a masterful president?

The decision will, again, be left to the majority.
I voted for Obama in his first term, b/c he had a gift of Charismatic Gab....
He turned out to be the worst President, doesn't care about the American people
Neither did Bush, they just bide they're time, allowing the Establishment to take over

Trump is a lousy debater, and, when someone attacks him, he can't keep his mouth shut.....

However, his heart wants to change everything that Obama did, Cruz will not do that....
Our corporations, factories, etc...Walmart, want illegals in here, so they can turn a blind eye....

I'm so upset that more American's cannot or refuse to see what is happening and still have faith in the system.

Even more upset are those uninformed voters, tons of college students, who don't have a clue as to why they are protesting Trump....b/c they heard something?

As opposed to the Trump supporters who cannot or refuse to see that Trump is a full-fledged member of and plays in that very same system?
