Agree with him or not, Ryan at least does his homework.
That "homework" consists of unrealistic assumptions (like unemployment will drop to 2%). He pretends, just like Trump, that his deficit-reduction proposals will raise trillions in revenue by closing unspecified loopholes and achieve trillions more in unspecified savings. In other words, they both have been playing a con game in which they mask their unrealistic proposals with slight of hand flim-flam.

Then he's not much like Trump at all, really. The wall and ending globalism are Trump's big issues and the reason the establishment from both sides hate him with such ferocity. Fiddling with the tax rates a little and shifting spending a couple percentage points higher or lower is sort of a sideshow at this point.

Not a fan of Ryan, but he has a WAY, WAY, WAY better grasp of the issues than Trump ever will. JMO...
I agree. Not a fan either, but it is insulting to Ryan. Ryan does understand the issues, SCOTUS and the nuclear triad. Trump has not yet consulted himself on those issues.

He has a plan for your tulips too ? He will tell you where to plant them. You don't have to be a gardener or a farmer to understand it either.
