Let's put this in simple terms for you! He's a businessman - by greasing palms, he knows he'll hopefully get a break if he needs something done.

No different than people donating to the Sheriff's Association so they can get that little sticker to put on their car. Doesn't mean they aren't law abiding but it's a little extra protection in case they get caught speeding. The guys writing the ticket notice those things and let you go with a warning.

Like he has by meeting with establishment Republicans several times now. Cruz isn't a sellout.

dex - we all know that Trump has been a thorn in the RNC's side. He met with Priebus about the unfair practices he's encountered. If he was really making deals - do you honestly think this field would have been cut done a bit sooner. I give Cruz kudos for sticking to his guns but he is as delusional as you are if you think he's going to get the nomination and can actually beat Hillary. As much as I hate the media - they all are reporting that should there be a contested convention - the RNC will push it to put in one of their own fair haired boys and it won't be Cruz.

congrats on your decision.

Here is more on his policies for ya:

Donald Trump

Yep, those are great, the greatest, policies. We'll all love 'em. Even when he changes them within hours of stating them. Then, changes them yet again within hours.

As for values.... Unfortunately, even if one were to think his policies wouldn't poison America beyond hope, his persona shows that his values are likely to get in the way of making even the least bit of headway on virtually any front. He would be highly likely to get us embroiled in some really bad stuff because he can't shut up when he needs to.

His business background is full of failures along what his successes. It turns out that he doesn't 'own' too many of all those businesses, he rents out his name, his businesses mostly manage stuff for other people, and he willingly runs over anyone in his way, buys influence, and outsources his manufacturing to other countries. I don't see where his business background is of any use in running the government.

Great article, and a must read for anyone who is on the fence regarding Trump. His "policies" are ill-thought out soundbites tossed out to his adoring masses who, like him, have no understanding of global alliances, no appreciation for the delicate balancing act the leader of the world's only super power must be capable of, no ability to look at the big picture that an effective and responsible foreign policy demands.

He is ignorant of such things, and his supporters revel in that ignorance, labeling it ridiculous things like "non-PC" or "non-establishment" or a "breath of fresh air," when in reality it is simply ignorance.

Trump is a joke who has ceased to be funny.

You don't get it, the reason why people are backing Trump here in New York is because they are pissed at the Tea Party types (aka TED CRUZ) for blocking Hurricane Sandy disaster relief and for very nearly sinking the renewal of the Zadroga Act for 9/11 first responders. Yeah, Ted Cruz basically told cops, EMTs/paramedics, and firefighters to go f--k themselves. Of course we hate him. I despise the Tea Party. They never do anything about wasteful spending for Southern states or Western states ... but when it comes to something for New York it's suddenly wasteful pork spending
