Of course they will want something in return. Just like all the banks and corporations Trump is in bed with and invested with will want something in return as well. If you want a candidate that is TRULY not in bed with anyone, you should be voting for Sanders or Gary Johnson. Trump is more corrupt than any politician.

I'm asking about Cruz - answer the question. No one is funding Trump's campaign.

Are you really that blind? No one is "directly" funding Trump's campaign because he's a BILLIONAIRE and doesn't need them to. He's loaning himself all the money thru his business and he can just pay himself back. If you think he's not getting money from the big banks and corporations he's in bed with, you really are blinded.

Who do you think will secure the border? Definitely not another Republican or democrat, You need somebody like Donald Trump to secure the border (really not that hard to do)

Donald Trump might be trolling, but he will secure the border (with or without the wall)

If Trump wanted to protect his wealth he would have never stuck his neck out like this. I am sure in private his family members are cursing him. They had a nice thing going. Now they have to put up with threats, vandalism, and name calling. This run is nothing but bad for his brand and business. He has already lost millions for sure. What has Cruz risked? Nothing. He is spending other people's money. There is no downside for him. He has not even given up his Senate seat. That is anther scandal nobody talks about. Never show up for the work they were elected to do. Try working at two places at the same time in the private sector and see what happens.

Really? Why do you think people run for President? It isn't because they want to help you, I can assure you that. They do it to make themselves and their rich and powerful friends even more rich and powerful. You really think a billionaire elitist like Trump gives two shi*s about you or any other average American? Of course not.

So Cruz doesn't want to help us ? I would have never known judging from his sincere attitude.

Trump has a well-established track record of helping people, for longer
than you've been alive. Quite frankly, you're the one lacking character,
not Donald J. Trump.

I live in NYC and, whether I like it or not (and I don't), acknowledge the fact that it is going to remain a liberal/democratic city well beyond the duration of my life (another ~ 40 years based on life expectancy data). I can neither wish this fact away nor change enough peoples' minds (I'd be lucky to persuade just one person). As such, I can learn to live with this fact or relocate and I've chosen the latter though it might be too soon to do so in the next few months.

Trump is a businessman who works in this environment. He realizes that, in order to move forward with projects, it's best for his company to have goodwill with elected officials (the vast majority of whom are Democrats). One way of establishing goodwill is by supporting their campaigns. It seems like a practical move to me.
How could NYC be so liberal? It's had Republican mayors for the last 20 years!

In his convoluted thinking even the pizza delivery man is funding his campaign because he gets paid, deposits his money in BoA that rents space in one of Trump's buildings ⇒ Pizza man funds Trump campaign.
