How is trump pulling off these BIG wins, state after state. I mean we are a country of true conservatives, and he has some ecclecticity. But yet he is swarming the nation and beating very capable people. What is his strategy, how does he do it and how does he get the voter to vote for him and not someone more mainstream? I am so intrigued.

The American people like being lied to -- so when Trump promises things he can't possibly provide (like a Mercedes in every garage or a good job that pays a lot of money or a wall to keep the terrorists out), they eat it up and say "Yes! I would like one of those!"
It's because people would like to believe Sci Fi/Fantasy is really true!

He knows the pulse of the people and how angry and disenfranchised they are. Many of his supporters understand he is a successful businessman who employs thousands of employees and therefore he also knows the needs of employees, knows how to keep them happy, productive and loyal. He has used that experience and understanding to his benefit dealing with voters.
His base doesn't care about his private life, his many wives, or his past indiscretions, all they care about is jobs, building a better America and removing the status quo politicians. They want real change. If you want to know what propels these people it is empty promises of politicians on both sides always pandering for hope hope and change only to sell the voters out once in office. Heck some even say they don't care if Trump makes millions as president as long as he delivers on making America Great again and cleaning house.
He has a really good chance at beating Hillary Clinton and I think he will, not because I am a huge fan of his but rather because so many people really want real change and Hillary is old guard politics. Seriously her and Bill Clinton were in the White House for 8 years and Obama another 8 years and in 16 years we have this huge mess which Hillary is claiming she wants part of creating but that she can fix it... yea right

You mean crony capitalist? A businessman who bribes corrupt politicians for favors like distribution of legal permits, government grants, special tax breaks and more? Donald Trump has made a career of doing this. He is a one percenter billionaire. He's part of the corruption and whats wrong with this country, not the solution. He is a pathetic fraud. To the OP's question. He is winning because idiotic, low information voters are treating this like a reality show, not a Presidential election. Ask ANY Trump fan on the street what policy of his they like best. They will stare with a stupid blank face. They are a joke, just like their leader.
