‘We’re running a f—ing casino’: Politician tells all in manifesto | New York Post

"The veteran politician lays bare a rotten and corrupt Congress enslaved by lobbyists and interested only in re-election in an anonymous, 65-page manifesto called “The Confessions of Congressman X.”

“Like most of my colleagues, I promise my constituents a lot of stuff I can never deliver,” he admits. “But what the hell? It makes them happy hearing it . . . My main job is to keep my job.”"

No surprises here in my view.

So those who continue to whine/moan about trump and sander's, I'd be willing to bet more than a few of you are the one's who elected this guy/enabled others in office who created trump and sander's.

The House member — a Democrat who is either still in Congress or served sometime over the past two decades — says more time is spent fundraising than reading bills and calls Washington a “sinkhole of leeches.”
Hahahaha....that's classic. But it does go on both sides so neither side comes out looking good in this.

Anyway, wanted to be in before all of the excuse makers claiming that they need to know who it is before accepting that it's truth, suddenly calling the NYPost a non legit source after citing it who knows how many times in the past, and whatever other baloney instead of accepting that our government, left and right, Dems and Repubs, are very corrput....and this is exactly why Sanders and Trump have made a great showing this election season, and is exactly why the establishment...the sinkhole of leeches, and the biased media, are sweating bullets and calling Sanders and Trump everything that they can possibly get away with.

That is what this election is all about. The outsiders election.

"GO TRUMP" or live in a 3rd world dump.

Sanders and Trump do not belong in the same sentence or have anything in common. Sanders is an honest, ethical good person with no ego who actually does care about the people in the country. Trump is pretty much the opposite. A dishonest, unethical, not so great person with a massive ego who couldn't care less about the people in this country.

You're right, they don't belong in the same sentence. Bernie was a loser his whole life until he got into politics and became a tax payer leech. Trump on the other hand has been actively successful.

Bernie and his babes are the very definition of losers. Trump and his supporters are the very definition of successful people and people who want to be successful without a monolithic and overbearing government telling we're all homos now.

If you consider "caring" to mean: Tax the whole country to death so that some whiny twits can get their freebies, then sure, totally "caring".

Are you willing to pay more in taxes to pay for the wars?

I ordered this book. Even though many of us have long suspected that the system is rotten and corrupt, I'm sure this book will be a good, quick read.

From seeing some of the excerpts from this book, Congressman X is a democrat.
