The new WaPo poll shows the R and I support is consolidating as well as picking up more Bernie supporters. On the other hand, Clinton has hit her ceiling months ago.

Bernie is smart to compete until the convention. Superdelegates might wise up and get out of their suicide pacts.

Don't you just love how that graph meets? Looking forward to the big X it's about to create as Trump heads up and Hillary heads downnnnn - 6 foot underground.

Donald Trump has no opposition any longer and Hillary Clinton is still in a primary fight with Bernie Sanders. Most Sanders voters have an unfavorable view of Clinton.

Trump's numbers spiked when he wrapped up the nomination among Republicans. Clinton has the opportunity to gain ground among Sanders voters if and when she officially wraps up the nomination on the Democratic side.

Although many Sanders supporters will start the general election campaign with a negative view of Clinton, they aren't necessarily eager to vote for Trump. In the YouGov poll, just 55% of Sanders supporters said they'd vote for Clinton over Trump in November. However, only 15% said they'd vote for Trump. That number will increase once Sanders supports the nominee because he loathes Trump and everything his false populist movement stands for.

If I were Trump, I wouldn't be picking out drapes for the Oval Office yet.

Trump still needs a more coherent economic and foreign policy message. He needs to be more specific and substantive, if he can do that and shows it in the debates by delivering better sound bites and talking points, then perhaps he might do this after all.

It's looking better every day. Trump has thrown a few shots across the bow, but he has not even begun going after Crooked Hillary's tainted record and all of her baggage. Once he does, he's likely to see his numbers go up even more.

Even some of Hillary's closest political allies are being turned on.
