Stephen Hawking: Trump A Demagogue For 'Lowest Common Denominator'

Professor Stephen Hawking, the renowned physicist and cosmologist, can explain black holes, quantum mechanics and relativity. But one subject he doesn’t understand is the allure of Donald Trump.

Hawking called Trump “a demagogue who seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator” and said he couldn’t explain the popularity of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee in an interview that aired Tuesday on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

Hawking turned out to be wrong on much of what he based his entire career on. To think anyone would listen to a Brit leftist on American politics is rather juvenile and silly.

Stephen Hawking was for black holes before he was against them.
He is not well-considered in the highest astronomical circles, but
is a favorite of the media for some reason.

The problem is Hawking is in a black hole of politics and that is not his wheel house.

Spaghettification is detrimental to thought.

Can't wait to see Dr. Hawking reading Trump's mean tweet on Kimmel's show.

Unfortunately it sounds like all his brain power was used up for physics leaving nothing left for politics.

As for Hawking (or any other Brit) I really don't care what they think of the political shenanigans in the United States. They don't live here, they don't have a vote here, but they do have the right to express their thoughts, just as we have the right to ignore them.

Don't cofuse intelligence with a high level technical ability.

Knowledge can be fools gold when it blinds you to possibilities that your knowledge restricts.
