1) He won't win any of these states.

2) However, in some alternate universe, if a Republican won states because of being opposed to free trade that would be incredibly ironic.

Bingo. Union folks are anti Free Trade. Hillary lost Michigan to Sanders over this single issue. A 20% shift of the union vote is worth 8.8% overall in Michigan (4.4% more for GOP, 4.4% less for Dems), 30% would have a 13.2% swing affect.
