@BenjySarlin - Sen Corker on Trump: "It wasn't the type of speech one would expect" from potential president. Says he's "discouraged" by the campaign.
So that's another potential VP struck off the list. Another once somewhat close ally to Trump now is deserting him.

Trump has 5 weeks to save his campaign or I suspect the Republicans will refuse to nominate him at the convention. He has no money and no support within the party and his poll numbers are sinking, and he's wrecking the Republicans image.

What I don't get about some Trump supporters who have repeatedly said their MAIN GOAL in electing Trump in the first place was not necessarily to elect Trump as president, but to DESTROY the Republican party, or the "GOPe", or at least to send them a message.

But why would the Republican party want to nominate a candidate who's sole purpose by his own voters to see them destroyed? They certainly need to give that some thought.

He's got small number of weeks to turn this round or he is doomed.

Lol, the Corker who's been voting with Democrats to fund Obamacare for the last three years?

I see.

I think VP is going to be Chris Christie (aka manservant) . . . . Gingrich and Corker have betrayed Mr. Trump so they are off the list. If Christie has a diabetic attack, it's gonna have to be Nailin Pailin FTW!

Pretty soon he'll be down to his daughter's, son's and Omarosa. I'm guessing Ivanka but he may need some diversity so maybe Omarosa?

Omarosa sucks up big time to Mr. Trump since their Apprentice days, but I get the feeling he (along with the rest of the universe) hates her. Which is to say she would be the VP candidate by default.

If true, it's good to see another staunch defender of Trump now backing away. It seemed it was just the other day that Corker contended that Trump brings a degree of maturity to foreign policy. My jaw dropped when I heard him say that but then I started to laugh uncontrollably.

Yup, also bringing more maturity to foreign policy would be Omorosa (or Dr. Manigault ...remember, she once claimed that she actually had a PhD but later it was learned that she is only "working on it.") or Trump's children. Only Ivanka and Donald Jr. are old enough, I believe. Trump said he was joking when mentioning Ivanka as a running mate but followed up by saying that "she would be good, I will say." I will say that Ivanka would make a much better president than her dad.

Corker has been a RINO for years. As a Tennessean, he represents big, corporate interests, not the views of native Tennesseans.

You have to ask where the heck SEN Corker and the others who are abandoning ship been? This guy has been on the campaign trail since July 2015. Haven't they listened to anything he's been saying over the course of 11 months? Why didn't he say something when Cruz was still in the race or another more viable, more mentally stable, more presidential candidate was in the running?

I doesn't go without notice that it's Hillary's supporters who think that Trump might be damaged by loss of support by establishment professional politicians. Afterall, she is an establishment bought & paid for professional politician. One, who BTW who has used her position to become a multi-millionaire

Of course they must not get this is the very reason the majority are voting for Trump.

Don't recall many complaining a few weeks ago when he appeared to be on the Trump train, even potential VP material, but the second he's critical, he's a RINO, establishment or some other negative label. Saw the same thing with Gringrich as soon as Newt said something critical a few weeks ago.
