Everyone should be rattled. People ask how the Germans could let Hitler come to power and do all the evil things with their tacit approval. Speeches like that is exactly how it starts. My ancestors left Europe and came to the United States to get away from the Nazis. It is sad to think that someday soon, people may have to leave the United States to flee Trump and his fascists. I am scared for the future of my country today.

You're right. There are certainly parallels. People have seen this from the beginning of trumps "ascension".
Let's hope that there are enough good and sane and insightful (the lack of insight of those who support trump is astonishing!) people in this country who understand what he's doing and why he shouldn't be anywhere near the white house.
Obama always liked the idea of being our 44th President. Now his world is falling around him and his people are looking out for thierselves, he is shaken.
The whle progresive movement is failing and hope and change has been checked out for a while now. This is why we need Trump in there to break this endless cycle of curruption.
