I don't know if there is anything to this, but it would be insane for the RNC to do anything to hurt Trump. Hillary is in major trouble, and in fact the election may already be over for Hillary.
But now the deplorables will get mad with the evangelicals. Already see they calling them snow flakes etc n so in essence the Republican Party will implode. They have to own it. They have acted like little children and not lawmakers. Now karma will return the favor...
The "Victory" program money raised and spent on trying get Trump elected. It's something that Trump is relying on rather heavily because his campaign has almost no ground game. And now it seems that that people printing or mailing materials on his behalf are being told to wait and stop. Stop and wait.

Why? If Trump is forced out Trump supporters are either going to stay home or write him in. About the last thing they would do is vote for an establishment picked replacement. They might even vote against R down ballot candidates as an act of revenge and defiance. There is just no win in this for Republicans.
