I don't think that's the case. Is it his fault that a lot of Americans simply didn't want a black president to begin with?
The funny thing is that compared to the two current candidates, the Obama's were way better. Clinton and Trump are so damaged by all those scandals that I don't see how either one will be a good president.
The best thing would be for Americans to vote for an independent candidate, maybe one sponsored by decent, rational politicians of both parties.
Or to change the constitution to enable Obama to do a third term

No, it rests squarely on the republican party who have so dumbed down their constituents via Fox News, Breitbart, Glen Beck, Infowars, etc.
