Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems; some of these same voices also doing their best to gum up the works. They’ll warn that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave and creative and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can’t be trusted.

Your presidential candidate wants to expand libel laws so that he can sue media outlets if they say un-nice things about him; that's basically ripping up the First Amendment! He also yesterday suggested abuse of Presidential power by directing his attorney general to conduct politically motivated prosecution of his opponents. That's what dictators do. Speaking of which, he has a big man crush on Putin, one of the world's most powerful quasi-dictators who routlinely abuses freedom of press and political opposition in his home country.

Maybe you should pick a candidate who actually gives a **** about the Constitution.

I'm mainly rejecting the voices of demented conservative conspiracy mongers.

Hillary did things that you and me would be sitting in jail for and the DOJ, the FBI is now politicized and the media covered for her. That in itself should scare you. But I'm sure you don't know world history or how horrific leaders come to power therefor don't have a clue what I'm saying.

And here's the kicker, since there is documents saying that she says she's center left/center right, I could actually consider her but when a media won't do it's job and be a watchdog media I can't vote for someone who we won't know when she's doing wrong.

You don't have much to go on here. It's always three things: emails, Benghazi, some mumbo jumbo about the Clinton Foundation. Let's see:

1. Emails: DOJ and FBI investigated, found that while she was stupid and careless, her actions didn't meet the bar of being criminal. So that's that...

2. Benghazi: has long been debunked for the conservative dead horse-flogging political points carnival that it always was. Tragic but no evidence of anything illegal here either. So that's that...

3. Clinton Foundation: no evidence here either of fraud, money laundering, etc. other than heresay. Game, set, match.

If Clinton did something that meets the burden of criminal culpability, then sure - clap her in irons! I won't care. But if there is no such evidence, then...let's be open and honest about the fact that there's no such evidence. Simple as that.

I'm sure I don't understand what you're saying because you treat evidence that doesn't support your biased arguments as "part of the conspiracy," which makes a rational discussion impossible. The media is part of the "conspiracy" insofar as you have convinced yourself of an alternate reality that does not actually exist; therefore, everything in mainstream society will by definition contradict you.

Horrific leaders come to power in the manner of Trump: they harness hatred and fear of people like you, point their energy towards a scapegoat, attack the media, and make a lot of threats about abusing their executive power.

Right over your head whew!

I don't care if you are republican or democrat. If the media won't do their job to report wrong doing, then that leader who knows they will not be held accountable will not comply with laws (they know the media will cover for them). That is very dangerous for the people.

Lets say I liked Hillary, based on the one fact that the media won't do their job and hold her accountable for wrongdoings is enough to make me not vote for her. Anyone who is not held accountable will have too much power and will abuse it. It's happened over and over through time.

1. Emails. DOJ and FBI can't be trusted. Tools of Obama administration, protecting Hillary.

2. Benghazi: Complete incompetence by Hillary, just like the rest of her Middle East policy.

3. Clinton Foundation: Just where is all the money that was donated for Haiti relief a couple of years ago? I'm waiting.

She belongs in jail, or at minimum, on trial.
