Romney was castigated by Obama, the media, Hillary, and even yes democrat posters on this very board for stating the fact that Russia is a "geopolitical adversary."

Since then Obama and Hillary have said as much with no outbreak of democrats on this board.

Hillary and democrats on this board have bashed Trump for complimenting Putin.

New wikileaks emails show Hillary complimenting Putin.

Yes, democrat weakness to calling enemies what they are has been a weak point. I don't recall the reason why they were avoiding Russia back then, but it makes sense to attack them now. Avoiding any provocation to China right now is smart. Their hesitancy to call confront the Islam problem is something that is to be criticized, though.
