You guys just love to put words way out of context.
Go on what else?
You gave the context. "This is how MOST Vietnamese feels, I can't say ALL because I don't know ALL." And the title of your thread is not Vietnamese people, even if that were true, it's Asians. There's about 3 billion Asians and only a very small minority are Vietnamese. How's that for context?
If you don't like people taking stuff out of context maybe you should try to get your facts straight before you start backpedaling on information that's incorrect.
I'm really not surprised that a Vietnamese would vote for Trump. They're like Cuban-Americans in terms of their political alignments - many are Republican leaning, and have been motivated by knee-jerk anti-Communism in their political discourse. Look at Ly Tong - who actually hooked up with the CANF. But similar to Cubans, this is changing with generations who are no longer animated by emigre politics. And even a lot of Cuban Americans are turned off of Donald Trump.
That said, the OP is in the minority AFAIK. I'm Asian American and live in a area with many Vietnamese Americans. I don't know of any who are voting for Trump.

Well, if you find one, you can start a thread talking about how most Vietnamese are going to be voting for Trump. Wait wait. Sorry. I mean how most Asians are going to vote for Trump. Heck you could even say most humans I suppose.

Many Asian business people residing close to me all are in support of Trump.
Interesting that a lot of Taiwanese/Americans I have talked to will vote and support Trump.
I can see how some less affluent sections of the Asian/American community might vote for Hillary.
Your theories are possible. Most Asians live in a blue states (Cali, NY, Boston MA, & Seattle WA). You can throw in HI as well but they are tiny. Think the only red state which has a lot of Asians is Houston, TX.
I'm pretty well involved in the Chinese community in NE Kansas and I can only think of one person who is voting for Trump. A local prominent Republicans wife... Granted I don't know every Chinese or Asian person, but Trump is very much disliked by Chinese I do know. You guys think Trump gets a lot of flak on English speaking social sites, check the Chinese-American communities on QQ or WeChat. He is absolutely hated.
I'll be completely shocked if Trump breaks 20% with any minority group. Most likely closer to 10% with most demographics outside whites.
Republicans had started to see an upswing in minority registration within their party, the GOP had the highest percentage of African American voters since 1960 in 2012 (16%). They had been in single digits for decades. I'm confident nominating Trump just reversed that growth.

I'm of Taiwanese descent and I am definitely NOT voting for Trump, nor are most if not all of my parents, relatives and friends with a similar background. And we're all highly educated (my parents were part of the brain drain/gain coming to the US as graduate students).

Hah. One Chinese transliteration of Trump is literally translated as "broken bed". How fitting.
