Other than the cynical nickname the group gave themselves (or others gave them), doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary here: a group of political operatives getting together and strategizing on items relevant to their stakeholders. That's hardly unusual. That's what political operatives do. Doesn't mean there is some nefarious stuff outside of the law going on.
