Before the ACA I paid through my company $110.00 a month. Co pay of $15 per office visit. I now pay a little over double, $25 co pays on office visits and have a $1500.00 deductible per family member. I also have co-pays on all procedures. In 2007 I had my knee rebuilt. ACL, PCL replacement. My out of pocket was less than $100. Last year I had kidney stones and my out of pocket was 3 grand. I don't think that the ACA has made medical care more affordable, but then we warned this was going to happen. To bad everyone thinking free stuff coming out numbered those of us who actually foot the bill.

Haha, hope you're trolling. Mind boggling ignorance if not.

Don't forget (or look it up), Hillary tried to pull off government run healthcare back in the 90's.
Had her plan not been soundly rejected by the American people years ago, we'd have Hillarycare, and our healthcare would have been screwed up long ago.
Are you against government run Medicare?

I have been to Italy many times. Depends where you go. I have seen the small apartments and small shops. Loved the food in the small restaurants. Americans do have bigger homes than many people see for the average family in Europe or Asia for that matter. I kept in touch with my Italian friends and they visit on occasion. They are amazed at how much land I have and the size of my home. My house is around 2700 sq ft on a few acres of land.
Then again look at some of the apartments for rent in NYC. LOL pretty small for big bucks.

If health insurance companies cannot provide fair rates while not being able to deny for pre-existing conditions, then they need to be done away with entirely and we need to change to medicare for all single payer.

Just saw an article about it today.

So tell me. When we didn't have obamacare, the poor people waited in the ER and wasted resources in other ways. Hospitals survived, but our premiums were much much much lower.

Despite rising healthcare costs pre-obamacare, the healthcare system didn't collapse.

So let's just go back to THAT broken system and lower our premiums back to where they were before.

F*** obamacare
THANK YOU!!! I wish we could just chock this up as a learning lesson and go back to how it was before. I had a great employer plan. $400 a month premium but only a $35 co pay for no matter what even surgery and it was 100% coverage. Now I don't have any insurance. IT SUCKS I WANt my old plan!!!!! Obama said I could keep my plan!!!! Liar!!

It's time for the tweak that Obama mentioned and Hillary knows how to make it better. She researched this for a long time and she understands how to fix it. I'm with her.

Kind of like throwing it out there and see what sticks......as in stuck to the bottom of your shoe at the Dog Park.

Today people on Facebook mentioned $10,000 deductible! !!
Only $1,900? Is that for a year? That's very low. I used to sell health insurance before Obamacare and a premium of $10,000 a year for a family of 4 was average, unless you had group insurance from an employer. As an independent contractor, I paid more than $800 a month just for my own coverage and finally had to drop my health insurance. (I'm over 65 and on Medicare now) Also, a $10,000 deductible for a family was not uncommon. Regarding rate increases, this is nothing new. Premiums were always increasing year after year.

So it really depends on which side of the fence you're on, since Obamacare has helped millions of families get health care coverage. However, I agree with you that the cost of health care in our country is outrageous, which is why we need to get the for-profit insurance providers out of the picture. It isn't the concept of universal health coverage that is jacking up the premiums, it's corporate greed.

Why do you believe Italy=Europe? Italy is one of the poorest western european countries.

Besides, even Italians have far bigger vacations than Americans. Italians would be shocked at the near absence of vacation time in America.
