Did you like him when he became famous for being rich
or when he was hosting The Apprentice?

No.

I honestly never saw an episode, and I didn't know much about him other than his reputation as a shady and smarmy business guy who was overly conceited.

I never liked him, I always saw him for what he was, a person who is a bully and a narcissist and thinks he's better than anyone else. If I saw an online thread about which celebrities you don't like he would be on the top of the list. I think people with huge egos deep down inside are insecure and need others to believe how good they are.

Native New Yorker here. Have hated him for decades. Always thought he was a total blowhard and narcissist, but never gave it too much thought until he became the GOP nominee. What I've earned since that makes me hate him even more.

Honestly I had no opinion of Donald Trump. He struck me as an egotistical guy with really bad taste (all the gold embellishment) and I remember all the tabloid stories of him with Marla while married to Ivana as well as the failed casinos. I liked the first season of The Apprentice. I didn't keep up with it but when I saw a later season where the losing team had to live in a backyard and do dishes with the garden hose I was revolted and never watched Trump again. It was no longer a show about business ideas, more like "let's make them eat bugs!". So, ambivalent before, deep intense dislike now.

I thought he was slippery the first time I saw him years ago. All braggadocio about himself, his money and his women. No class. He's the guy who thinks he hit a home run in life. He started out on third base because of daddy's money.

I disliked him in the 90's, then I watched the apprentice and didn't have a bad or good opinion of him. After he started claiming that Obama was not born in the US he went to my crap list

I thought he was a tacky vindictive egotistical loudmouth (now, tell me how you really feel). I always think of his need to have the last word when fighting with Rosie O'Donnell. Just shut up.
