The first returns come out of Dixville Notch in a matter of minutes. Problem is they have a pretty spotty record of predicting elections. They have correctly predicted past 4 elections but went with Dole in 98.

I've wondered about that, too.

IMO, since they are the first to vote, that's what gets people interested.

They also picked Nixon over JFK but it is a safe bet they are all dead now.

I doubt it's much of a predictor, except maybe for New Hampshire, but it's just interesting since they're the first live votes. Clinton got 4, Trump got 2.
