Chalk it up to another idiotic Trump conspiracy mongering comment that turns out to be utter trash and a good indicator of ignorance.
Conservative people, what do you think - the FBI is sitting there reading these things by hand? Wake up, this is not the 1950s; they have computer technology the likes of which you can't even comprehend. How the heck else do you think they're able to effectively conduct digital surveillance effectively on a global scale?

“This is not rocket science,” Jonathan Zdziarski, a forensics expert who’s consulted for law enforcement, told Wired. “Eight days is more than enough time to pull this off in a responsible way.”
The technology news outlet also interviewed an anonymous former FBI forensics experts who said the agent reviewed larger collections of data even faster than the current case.
“You can triage a dataset like this in a much shorter amount of time,” the agent told Wired, according to the report. “We’d routinely collect terabytes of data in a search. I’d know what was important before I left the guy’s house.”
The former agent also said that the FBI has tools that can sift out classified documents, which the agent said is similar to software used to detect plagiarism.
Both sources told Wired that investigations can filter out emails by targeting “to” and “from” as well as filtering out duplicates.

@jeffjarvis Drop non-responsive To:/CC:/BCC:, hash both sets, then subtract those that match. Old laptops could do it in minutes-to-hours.
Why then the 60k emails took a year to sift through?
Addressing the situation with a valid question such as this/the key point hil supporters purposely choose to ignore will only confuse them. The usual come back to expect is "orange something something", "you're racist/sexist/ist", etc.

When it comes to the security of our nation, im not happy that the FBI used some kind of scanning tech to see if maybe something is there. What key words were they scanning for?

When it comes to the security of our nation scanning tech IS the security.
How do you think they're able to latch onto terrorist emails from half way across the world? Do you really think there's a bunch of guys who can just read through it all? They'll use technology to do the sifting for them and just read the small relevant sample.

Scanning is our technology these days. When applying for a job, no one actually reads your resume. It's scanned looking for key words to see if you will fit. Same thing applied with the emails

Wonder if they had "spirit cooking" as a search phrase. This is why human eyes are needed. Context, double meanings, etc.
I thought it was supposed to take the State Department 75 years to get through 450K emails?
The FBI is magical!!
