Maine and Nebraska have split votings. Feel States with more than one Congressional District should go this route. Huge issue with voting is your vote rarely counts if in a State that's opposite of what political side you support. Example in a Blue State and at times the District in my State goes Red at times, but overall our State always comes out as Blue.

Election Day should it be moved to a Friday and Saturday. For some people, not an issue this year, work in jobs where they are mandated to go in, work all day, and so forth. Furthermore, people might not vote due to working all day and being stuck in a 2 to 3 hour line waiting to vote. Spreading it out on 2 days allows all time to vote.

Thoughts?

We already have absentee voting and early voting. So time isn't an issue. As far as split electors, no. The system was set up this way for a reason, so the president wouldn't be elected by a half dozen large cities.

If you can't make the time to vote with the options presented, I don't care if you don't vote.

I like our system of the electoral college, but I hate our primary system for POTUS.

I also hate this "get out the vote" mentality which seems to believe it's good to encourage the ignorant to vote. Every citizen should have the right, but most have no business exercising that right.

Our State doesn't have Early Voting. Some may miss the deadline, didn't know their schedule if working or can't predict if they'll be in to work. Then people may prefer to vote in person because difficulty trusting a mail in ballot.

In which state do you reside?

Many times, when a group has control for a long time, they reject any changes in the system for fear of losing their power.
