I remember President Kerry commenting on the accuracy of exit polling.
There was such a difference between the exit polling and the vote count in key states, that many suspected
proxies for Bush had rigged voting machines.
Sounds as if the future, early voters will be the ones that are polled.
How do they get the phone numbers for early voters?
Most pollsters use voter sample files so they would just contact registered voter and screen for those that said that they already voted. I don't think that they would ever go to just polling early voters since a person could lie about being an early voter but you may see more polls that at least try to include a portion of them in the last few weeks of the campaign.
