I really do think that was the reason for the delay. Most people had gone to bed by the time the election was called. I do believe that she called Trump that night, but held off on giving the speech until people would be awake to see it. It has long been said (and is very true) that in American politics the concession speech is far, far more important than the victory speech.

Honestly, much as I dislike Hillary and what she stands for, I'll give her a pass here (and would Trump if he lost). Stepping up to the top spot, putting that much effort in, working that hard, making that kind of committment and then losing, is emotionally devastating. I give anyone credit that gives a civil concession speech.

Hillary's thing is more along the lines of prancing around the podium with Tipper Gore at an earlier Democratic Convention, with Stevie Nicks' pretty nonsense blaring over the loudspeakers; too bad that reality had to intrude.

So it was ok to call many supporters deplorable, accuse many supporters of not paying their fair share when obviously we have, accuse people of being bigots when we are not (just don't like her policies), someone who is obviously corrupt...

I don't get joy out of people's misery, but people asking about when she realized she would loose..is not being hateful. Now calling a segment of the population deplorable is...
