In Delaware, the election for Lt. Governor was between Bethany Hall Long(D), and Lamar Gunn(R).

In blue De., Hall won easily. Here is a breakdown.

Hall- white female
Gunn-black male(former president of Dover Chapter, NAACP).

Wilmington, De.-58% African American (as per last census).

Vote results.

Hall-80%
Gunn- 20%

Kent County-60% white

Hall-54%
Gunn-46%

Sussex County-82% white

Hall-47%
Gunn-53%_

Clearly....
Gunn got more support from white voters than black
This election was strictly along party lines
Blacks, as usual, voted overwhelmingly along party lines

The word 'Racist', to me, no longer has any meaning. It has been overused to the point of being just another adjective.
Democrats, however, are in love with this word. I believe some of them can no longer utter the word 'Republican', without preceding or following with 'Racist'.

So, can any halfway objective Democrat explain how, in this case, the Delaware GOP can shed any accusations of it being racist,
when African Americans will not support a black GOP candidate, even one with a strong civil rights resume.

The party of inclusion simply and matter of factly, includes only those who agree with the party agenda.

To the DNC....

Only black Dems matter
Only women Dems matter
Only Hispanic Dems matter
Only Muslim Dems matter
Only LGBT Dems matter
Only disabled Dems matter

Who are the real bigots here?

So true. They HATE when any minority leans republican. It's embarrassing to think I was ever dumb enough to be a democrat. They are the real racists.

I take it by the lack of responses, that there are few objective Democrats out there. Even if there are, they cannot dispute that their party, and most liberals, want opportunities and advancement only for Democrat African Americans and women. GOP minority's need not apply. Hypocrisy indeed.

So if I am understanding correctly, blacks/Dems/liberals are hypocrites/bigots because they DON'T use race as the most important factor in supporting a candidate?

^^^ No, it's because they only support a certain gender or race if they run on the DEM ticket.

They call black people who run on a GOP ticket "sell out".

From idol to

Regarding Dr. Ben Carson:

Quote:
The renowned neurosurgeon – who overcame hardscrabble roots in inner-city Detroit to become the head of neurosurgery at Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins University and the first person ever to successfully separate twins conjoined at the brain – has been a folk hero, role model, and icon for many minority families. His memoir “Gifted Hands” was made into a TV movie, starring Cuba Gooding Jr. Last year, he tied for sixth in a Gallup poll as the most admired man in America.
As soon as he decided to run for President as a Republican:

Quote:
“He’s losing credibility with the Black community because he’s disconnected himself,” Gordon said. “The man has done great things in his time, it’s unfortunate that it takes a lifetime to build a reputation, but only a minute to lose it.”
Yeah, who are the disgusting racists, really? Dems.

Right, that is what political parties do: they support candidates that align with their goals and values.

In 2008 and 2012, it was suggested that blacks were voting predominantly Democrat because Obama is black.

Now they are being called bigots because they didn't vote for the black candidate.

Talk about hypocrisy.

As for Carson, it is hardly surprising or racist that people would have a different opinion of him when he started asserting himself politically. Have you never had someone you admired and were later disappointed in when they did or said something you disagreed with? I mean, I recall there were a lot of people on the right who claimed they would support Colin Powell if he ran for President. Then he endorsed Obama and suddenly his name was mud.

No. Again. They are being called hypocrites because they called Carson a sell out after they lavished praise upon him, said he was a hero, an inspiration, etc.

OK, we agree on that. But you can't have it both ways. The Dem party wants the high ground on diversity and inclusion, yet, as you stated, will support a white Dem over a minority Repub. Look at the NAACP. I am pretty sure they seldom endorse a black GOP candidate over a white Democrat. You just cannot claim to be the only voters that want advancement for all minority's, and only support those on the Democrat line.

.
Never heard that one. Blacks always vote predominantly Democrat. They came out in larger numbers because Obama is back. This election is the proof of concept.
