View Poll Results: Does Clinton's Popular Vote Victory Reduce Trump's Mandate?

How is it frozen? The number of electors based on House representation is changed every ten years according to the decennial Census.

Some states lose Representatives and therefore lose Electors while other states gain same.

If you're suggesting we also apportion Senators according to population that would be a total restructuring of the government.

Good points.

We have already restructured the government once by taking away the individual state governments ability to select their own representatives, (United States Senators), when the 17th Amendment was enacted. Not easy, but the simple solution is to repeal the 17th Amendment. No direct election of U S Senators. Congressional House of Representatives are the people's representatives.

Meaningless drivel, Trump is president and he will make America great again. He has already done more for the country that corrupt obama has done in eight years.
hillary needs to just slink off and go away to die..
The winner of the election was AMERICA..!!

I'm really surprised that my vote choice (#3) is the least popular one. Trump won, and the Republican party has a majority in both the House and Senate. He's been empowered to do make the change he desires, so who cares about this "mandate" business?

Trump's lack of a mandate will become apparent when he starts to shove legislation through. The Senate will probably be 52-48. Not all 52 R's will vote with the R's all the time, especially the moderates. Trump will win on some issues, he'll lose on some and he'll have to water down some bills to get them passed. Congress will definitely not be a rubber stamp.

At this point it's all Democrats have. They think someone will actually care about a mandate in 6 months.

Cool. Did she win yet?

Like I said in another thread, the Yankees outscored the Pirates 55 to 27 in the 1960 World Series.
The Pirates won the series.

This man Trump has one helluva mandate.
LOL, A national victory of as little as 250,000-500,000 votes somehow constitutes one hell of a mandate. Too bad how Trump couldn't win like Reagan did.
