Judge blocks Stein's Pennsylvania recount effort

A federal judge blocked Green Party candidate Jill Stein's push for a Pennsylvania recount Monday, saying her suspicion of hacking "borders on the irrational."

US District Judge Paul Diamond wrote in a 31-page decision that there are "at least six separate grounds" requiring him to deny Stein's request for a by-hand count of Pennsylvania's paper ballots.

"Most importantly, there is no credible evidence that any 'hack' occurred, and compelling evidence that Pennsylvania's voting system was not in any way compromised," Diamond wrote in the decision.

I still think that this was her goal...

Diamond said granting Stein's request for a recount would make it impossible for Pennsylvania to certify its presidential electors by the federally mandated deadline of December 13, "thus inexcusably disenfranchising some six million Pennsylvania voters" by blocking the state's participation in the Electoral College.

I am glad it didn't work.

He said the request borders in the irrational.

THey knew this was going to happen. Hillary has access to high priced lawyers who are very well versed in the election laws.

They knew what it would take for a recount and they knew that that the books had been checked three times over following the election night and that no court in it's right mind would support the need for a recount of any kind.

Yet they let this circus continue.

If anything, the State and Feds need to consider charges against Stein for filing a dubious law suit

So Hillary loses yet again.

I would think they would have learned the election is over with by now.

The judge pretty much labeled Jill Stein as insane...what a slap in the face...hard to come up with a harsher ruling than that...

The good thing is that such clear cut ruling ruling should prevent what could have become some sort of a template in future elections for the losing party....ask for a recount (without merit or standing) then sue and counter sue in enough targeted states to prevent enough electoral votes to be counted when the EC meet and deny victory to the winning party.

That's OK. With the Russian hacking, the very slim margin of victory in but three states, and especially Clinton's three MILLION vote lead in the popular vote, Trump is pretty much delegitimized anyway.

Good thing that's an opinion, and one that doesn't matter at all.

Is it really over though? I'm not a legal expert, hence my pesimistic view that this may not be really over yet. I'm frankly tired reading of yet another new story of denial, whether it's about Stein's recount effort, or about Dems threatening EC so they won't cast their votes for Trump in a couple of weeks. I honestly haven't seen anything that came close to this year's level of animosity towards Trump. It's unreal!

That Judge is probably a Russian agent.
