Less CA and NY, the US GDP would be roughly 22% lower.

Since NY and CA are part of the united states this is a meaningless fact. If you don't count any of the votes in any of the states, Hilary and Trump are tied!

If the Trump campaign did not 'buy' into the media narrative concerning California, then upon what basis did the Trump campaign 'know' that California would vote for Hillary?

Pretty bad when your home State won't vote for you (NY).

Less Texas and any one of a dozen other red states, he wouldn't have won anything. In the eyes of an alt-Right fanatic, the blue states are un-American and shouldn't be counted. We can't very well separate into two countries, because half the people in the red states would come swarming over the borders into the blue states, hoping to partake of their good life. The red states would starve on their own, without the blue states to keep up the standards of our country.

That's nice.

Problem is, California and New York are part of this country. So that's irrelevant.

I could say something equally inane like "if you exclude white people, Hillary would've won."

Who cares.

Almost 47%of eligible voters did not even bother to vote and the birther boy's approval rating is already in the crapper so stop grasping at straws OP. You might not be willing to admit that you were duped by a swindler, but at least most Americans are getting it right about now.

Or count Cal and NY and omit Tennessee and Texas and Clinton wins by 4.2 million.

It works both ways.
