This idea that some 3-5 million illegals voted is simply ridiculous. There is no proof that illegals vote in numbers such as that. Furthermore it runs counter to logic. Illegals do all they can to live under the radar. Why would they take such a risk to register and vote calling unwanted attention to themselves when they have nothing to directly gain?

Detroit: More votes than voters...

Detroit's election woes: 782 more votes than voters

Trump has based this on Gregg Phillips' claims about his “anti-vote fraud” app. I'm not kidding.

"Over the past three decades, Phillips has frequently decried widespread waste, fraud, and abuse in government programs—then alleged to have created a program or software that purported to fix it all. After working to award millions in government contracts to his businesses or associates involved in those programs, they were quietly shuttered years later."

The Birmingham News implored then-Governor Fob James not to hire Phillps to head Alabama human services, citing his “shaky qualifications and a suspect track record.”

He is currently unable to do business in Texas and “He’s one of our revolving door kind of hustlers,” according to Andrew Wheat, the research director of Texans for Public Justice.

Gregg Phillips, Donald Trump

Phillips was on CNN's 360 last night where he blathered on about "analytics" and so forth, but declined to release any data or evidence to back this up his claim. Apparently, he will release the information at some future date. Perhaps after the audit. Who knows.

Looked like a hustle to me and not a very good one.

It makes absolutely no sense that those trying to live under the radar would go register to vote with fake I.D.s and such.

There would be little if anything t gain and a lot to lose.

Most of those overages were by small amounts — on average about 3 votes — with the largest being 12 votes in a single precinct. Those small numbers, which add up to 782 total spread out across more than 200 precincts, tend to point to human or machine malfunction as the culprit, rather than widespread fraud.

The thing that strikes me as odd is that in November/December, most of the vitriolic lefties were insisting that the Russians (and a half-dozen other villains) had "stolen" the election -- and are still demanding an investigation of that. These and others are still claiming that because Trump did not win the popular vote in California, his election is illegitimate.

Now, Trump is essentially saying, let's settle this matter once and for all! He doesn't need this investigation to 'prove' that he is the legitimately elected President, but to 'pull the rug out from under the Dems' who will otherwise, continue with their conspiracy theories.

Of course, because Trump said it, now all the Dem's. are lining-up to claim the vote count was accurate and an investigation is unnecessary. Go figure! -- The more they protest this, the more I wonder if there may not be something to Trump's belief that voter fraud may have been involved.

There is a vast difference between No Fraud (as in little isolated cases possibly happening...like the lady who voted twice for Trump, oops) versus this wild assertion that 3-5 million people did it. Who usually stay hidden, but risked it all to commit fraud. In a state where their Hillary votes were not needed. And not a single one was for Trump. Uh huh.

Where? I have heard no one say that.
