Honestly .... I don't think he will! In a perfect world yes he would and could make it, but face it people, there are still too many jerks in this country to allow anything other than a straight white protestant man to run this country!

Cool. I dont think he will win anyway so this could very well be moot, but it really is a shame that there are still people out there who are so screwed up in thier thinking to not want a guy to be president simply because of how he looks. Its sad. Hopefully, these types of people will all die out soon and will not reproduce.
Hmmmmm. I imagine he would have some pretty stellar secret service people if he wins. Those guys are incredible.
Still, it only takes one looney to wait for a golden opportunity. And O does seem to be a genuinely nice man who likes to talk to "the people". I don't quite understand why some feel it has to be racially motivated. It certainly could be, but then again the odds are higher that a mentally ill person would be the killer. Or even an islamacist (sp)...after all he is a...what is the word when you are born Muslim and turn away...Apostate, I think. And before you gang up on me that is the way fundamentalist muslims believe....that if your father was muslim, you are muslim. So, actually, I think an asassination is more likely IMHO from a muslim than a red neck racist.
I think all presidents face this, I don't think his odds are any worse than McCains. There are a few desparate viet nam vets who are unbalanced walking around. I think it's pretty disgusting that we haven't taken care of these guys....still, if I were McCain, that is the profile I'd be worried about.
