I argued last week that anecdotal stories about disillusioned Trump supporters were overdone. The fact is that, on a broad scale, Trump supporters say they aren't disappointed. In fact, a poll showed they were more pleased than disappointed, by about 5 to 1:

...The Pew Research Center released a poll showing very little buyer's remorse among Trump voters. The poll showed just 7 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say Trump has performed worse than they expected him to. Fully 38 percent — five times as many — say he has performed better.
A new Washington Post-ABC News poll confirms this — in spades. And, in fact, it shows more buyer's remorse for Trump's opponent in the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton. And were the 2016 election held again today, it shows Trump would avenge his popular-vote loss.

Analysis | Trump voters don

When the Wash Post says THIS ^^^ that means stuff just got real.

Trump is no Hillary and that is a good thing.

It was funny on Saturday Night Live last night it was yet another rerun but this one was from before the election.
Tom Hanks played the moderator at a debate between Hillary (Kate McKinnon) and Trump (Alec Baldwin) . Trump was of course played as a complete buffoon while Hillary was the "smart one" yet Kate played her a bit too real because she came across as smug.

The sketch reminded me of how horribly entitled Hillary is.
I think many Hillary supporters now realize what a mess she was and many Trump people are simply happy that Hillary lost.

If the election was a re-do, Hillary supporters would vote Sanders and he would be president.

Opinion not based on facts. The fact is BS couldn't even win enough votes in the primaries to defeat a flawed democratic candidate in Hillary Clinton.

In my opinion no Socialist candidate can win the presidency and that includes Pocahontas.

This is our law and Trump and his attorneys use the laws to preserve business's to continue on. Obama step in on the GM and fired the CEA whiling damaging the feeder manufactures.

Trump may not get everything done , however people like his go get actions! Plus Trump is not afraid of hurting peoples feelings. Offended oh dear!

I would rather deal with reality instead of the sugar coated left BS.

That is difficult to believe with Independents moving away from him and his approvals dropping since the inauguration. Seventy-five percent of those polled don't think he's honest.

The only people sticking with him are the ones who are ok with him shooting people on Fifth Ave.

This is really a very easy one. Trump is both more loved and more hated.

Clinton had no real base of suppport, because she is not authentic in any way and has been on all sides of every issue, while collecting corporate money and outright blood money from terrorist nations hand over fist. Still, she had more popular support overall than Trump just because she is not Trump. A lot of people were voting for her just because she is not Trump. She failed to do the one thing that they wanted her to do: stop Donald Trump, and now she is a outright loser in their eyes and they wish she would just go away. It is very similar to how Republicans have no real love for McCain or Romney. They failed to stop Obama, and the party hopes they go away for good.

Trump, though he had 3 million less overall, actually stood for something and has a real base that will stand by him regardless, pretty much until the bitter end. He has a ceiling, but also a basement.

This is why the Dems are going to have to chose very carefully next time. They cannot choose a Warren type if they want any chance. If they expect to win, they have to find someone who is not a total phony.
