How 'bout you? Are you a Democrat who dislikes Obama? And why?

The race card was pulled in this thread from the very beginning.

You made your points in the beginning about why you dislike him which is fine because its your opinion, and then you start talking about his wife and that she doesn't seem to like White Americans too much. I've never seen or heard anywhere that says she doesn't like white people.

From that point on the thread went downhill and becomes another thinly veiled way of stirring up the same argument.

The argument that, "well, if black people can say it, why cant I?" is really lame. People who use it seem to be quite immature and incapable of understanding that we did not just arrive in the year 2008 from the year 0.

Most dems are smart?....they fall for anything and everything. There is not a free thinker among you.

I suppose you believe Republicans "think outside the box" everyday, no?

Thumbs down Some Obama Concerns

I agree with the previous post that points out that 'it is not only the Obama supporters who are educated'.

The Democrats have in the past called themselves 'the party of the working man' and they have somewhat been that. Many perceive Obama to favor the intellectuals, the corporate bigdomes, his races issues, and the assorted special interests that have already damaged America. Some see Obama as being unsensitive and ignorant to the white American middle class and that group needs serious consideration to survive.

Also many conventional Dems. are naturally suspicious of this unknown quantity. He hasn't been very reassuring either! His supporters conduct has not helped.

I recently attended my Democratic Precinct meeting. There were 22 people there of voting age and some children. It was interesting to me that the children were for Obama but didn't know why other than they said their friends were so they thought they should be. Of the 22 voters present we took a straw poll. 19 were for Hillary, 2 were for Obama and the other said he had not made up his mind.

We were asked if Obama won the nomination would you vote for him over the Republican? Only 8 raised their hand. The others said eiither no or they would have to have more information about how Obama stands on the issues.

Then we were asked if Hillary won the nomination would you vote for her over the Republican? All 22 raised their hand.

To me it says we have come along way in the race issues. Not far enough since many people are still racists, but still he is running for president, and he is a good man. His family appears to be very wholesome as well.

It is my understand that that church magazine doesn't belong to his church but was taken over by someone else. I could be wrong, but that is my own understanding.
But it was a interview he gave to his church magazine!! He didn't deny it but others are trying to cover it up because it is embarresing for Obama who him self didn't say anything other than that this man is his church leader.
