I find that number pretty suspect. A quick goggle search shows one of the other (less partisan but not necessarily reliable) sites lists her at $8million. For a sixty something year old lawyer, married to another sixty something year old lawyer, who has written several successful books, been on faculty at the nations top law school for a while and owns property in one of the nations priciest cities that would make sense. FWIW- $8 million when splitting residence between DC and Boston is probably on par with $1 million in most interior cities. The cost of living and real estate in both those areas is pretty high.

And as someone that works at a university- they cannot review your racial/marital/orientation status during the interviews or hiring process. They can however recruit to make sure minorities of some type are in the pool of applicants. And I doubt anyone looked at her and thought- we've landed an Indian! I have a friend who was given a scholarship retroactively in med school because they were literally scouring for people with partial minority status. He has a Mexican grandparent and that ended up being the higher end of minority content that year. Even he got a good laugh- and took the money. On my dad's side, everyone swears we are part Native American but no one had really figured out where. Its almost a running joke that any Southerner who can tan will claim to be part Native American.

I'm honestly surprised at the venom towards her. She's someone who truly wants to help the middle class, and I've never seen a politician who cares about consumer protection more than her.

I can see how her personality might be grating for some people, but I find her passion refreshing.

I don't think Elizabeth Warren should run in 2020 because I don't think any woman can win the US presidency at this time. We need to try a couple of generations from now.
I would vote for the 'right' woman - Warren is not that woman.

As far as Warren did nothing wrong; she is on the Left. She portray somebody fighting for the little guy; but she took unfair advantage by lying to get a job. Does that make her evil? Of course not; even if she had been accused of the 'crime', of robbing a minority of a job at a university because of deception, it would have been well the statue of limitations. It simply speaks to her true ethics and morality.

To me the big thing is that I could never vote for any current Democratic leadership. There would be no doubt that Soros money would be pumped into her candidacy. The Democrats love to talk about Russian conspiracies; but overlook the Hungarian conspiracy. As long as Soros butters their bread; they are happy. I am also not a big fan of Koch money - I wish all that influence money would disappear.

Then there is the other problem of her age.

I would still vote for Ivanka sooner than Warren!

she doesn't care about the middleclass or consumer protection..
if she did she would have made sure fannie/Freddie was in the dodd-frank bill

ELIZABETH WARREN SOLD OUT TO BIG INSURANCE AND FOUGHT AGAINST ASBESTOS VICTIMS.....“She’s Supposed To Be A Consumer Advocate?((((Elizabeth Warren denied that she had worked for Traveler’s Insurance, the nation’s largest insurance company, against asbestos victims....... documents, both the legal briefs Warren filed on behalf of Travelers, and Warren’s financial disclosures showing that she received over $212,000 for her work, tell a different story.)))))

Before retiring in January, Senator Christopher J. Dodd (D-Conn.), co-author of the Dodd-Frank regulatory reform bill that created the consumer agency, urged Obama to put somebody else in the job—a vote of no confidence that helps explain rumors that Warren is considering alternative paths, including a run for the Senate. ....... even retired Senator Chriss Dodd thinks she is INCOMPETENT

Yes, she can be a bit annoying, and yes, she is passionate about her feelings. I do understand the negative though:1- she is a socialist. This might work fine for you or so you think, but many Americans do not want socialism to take over our country. 2-she lied to get where she is, that makes many pretty upset, If she lied to better herself at the expense of others why wouldn't that be a reason to not like her? To me she is at best a liar and at worst a hypocrit.

excited?

interestingly, the comments below the article are overwhelmingly negative towards Warren. This isn't Breitbart as well
Excited for another career politican, academic, and failed lawyer trying to tell us all how to live our lives?

No.

So its "socialist" and "liar". She has never called herself socialist and all of her employers have denied what you say. And for all you know, she might actually be part native American. She is from Oklahoma after all, the most mixed native American state in the country.

Pretty clear that you would never vote for any Democrat regardless of who it was as those type of labels will always be used against any Democrat.
