Montana Democrats gave Mr. Gianforte a little something to remember them by.
Gianforte was convicted of second-degree assault when he body slammed a reporter to the floor of his headquarters on election day.
Last week, before being sworn in, the judge in Bozeman convicted him and sentenced him to 40 hours of community service and 20 hours of mandatory anger management classes.
But the Montana Democrats, in consideration of all the legal bills he had to pay, decided to help him out and buy him a new suit. So all the other Congressmen would know him by his colors. In his case, that's bright orange.

Lol about the orange suits. Gianforte was lucky not to have to spend a single day in prison. He definitely needs the anger management classes.
Btw when it comes to this type of behavior, I am non-partisan. If he was a Democrat, I would have still posted the same viewpoints as here and on an earlier thread.

Me, too. No politician should get away with physically attacking anyone, even a reporter who was only doing the job he was sent to do.
Anyone who wants the job must accept there will be difficult questions to answer, and not everyone will agree with him, but he will still represent them, and everyone else.
The party affiliation makes no difference at all in this.

he didnt get away with anything. he pleaded guilty to the charges, apologized in open court, and accepted his sentence.

Never said he got away with anything!
I find it interesting, though, that the House decided to seat him anyway. They were not required to do that after he committed a crime and was sentenced for it, and they could have rejected him. They have rejected others in the past.

true, but usually for something more than simple assault.
