I'd like for the Democrats to stay quiet about guns in federal races (and nod in agreement with the Republicans if the issue comes up), to run pro-gun candidates in pro-gun areas, to stop comparing anyone who criticizes Islam to Hitler, and to run candidates who are anti-abortion but pro-sex ed and pro-contraception in anti-abortion areas.

You keep making this lie of an argument.

The majority of Republicans voted for NAFTA, blaming it onthe Democratic Party just because a Democratic President was in power when it passed is obtuse at best.

In the entire Mid West, there were maybe 3 Dem votes for Nafta. Not a single Dem voted for them in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

And as I said before, You dont know what the DNC is. based on your post, you think it is the same thing as the DLC, and it is not.

The POTUS who pushed it was William Jefferson Clinton. That can't be undone.

Actually the POTUS that pushed it was was George Bush Sr. We have discussed this. You know this.

BC pushed it at the moment of Truth, and if he vetoed it, it would not have been overridden.

Those are regions that are quite pro 2nd Amendment rights, and less supportive of abortion 2017 style w/o restrictions as opposed to the customary idea, at creation of Roe v Wade, of it being quite limited in terms of conditions that permitted it.

It is hardly surprising that as the Rad Left took over the DNC, Congress went majority GOP.
Here's the simple solution: Democrats need to abandon --- in full --- the practice of radical extremism, fascism, and communism. They need to go to the center if they truly want to be a relevant party anytime soon. They have to develop a heart and keep an open mind. They also need to learn to tell the truth without the desire to hide things or sweep things under the rug. It's quite possible to disagree with the opposition without the dire need to destroy and eliminate it.

Above all else, they really need to quit crying and whining!

Why should the Democrats "go to the center" when the Republicans are no where near the center?

The Republicans have gone a hell of a lot further to the right than the Democrats have to the left.

President Trump won WI, MI and PA by 70,000 votes combined. That's not a large margin at all, and one that can easily swing the other way. This is especially true since those three states had been blue for decades before 2016. The Dems are probably not going to lose any of the states that went blue for Hillary in November either in my opinion. So unless the GOP starts doing some governing for the people and stops the BS, then the Dems could easily swing back into power.

Also, state and local politics is a whole different game than national politics. States like IL and NJ have Republican governors and they're hardly conservative. Mitt Romney was governor of MA. John Kasich is a Republican but moderate. Bloomberg was mayor of NYC as a Republican. MT and LA currently have democratic governors and they're hardly considered ultra progressive states.

Point is, politics is eclectic, rapid and dynamic. What's here today is gone tomorrow. Geniuses on both sides predicting the demise of this or that just come across as ignorant and uninformed who just want to do some d*ck waving.
