This DNC preoccupation with demographics is for a simple reason: Their hatred of the wwc makes it impossible for them to make amends with them. But while long-term trends may help them, like 2016, it will often come up short. Who was sworn in as 45th POTUS, Burry?
The numbers that barely worked in 2016 are worse in 2020, not just nationally, but in every state.
In 2024 the odds for the current coalition continuing to win are worse than in 2020.
In 2028 the odds are worse than 2024.

Increasingly with each election, to win with the same coalition, the GOP will have to continually improve their margin and turnout with their base, while praying that the opposition fails to vote.

If they cannot broaden their base......

However, long-term the key Rust Belt's demographic mix has changed far slower than the USA and the Bible Belt GOP margins are huge, making flipping those states unlikely for decades to come.

Your Blue Wall crumbled. Your party lost both the House and Senate, repeatedly. Your party lost >1,000 state and DC seats in a decade net. Instead of hoping demographics save you, ask why your party is not atoning for the sins which cost it most of America.

Demographics don't mean squat when you have a lousy candidate. The "I am not Trump" candidate will lose. I've asked over and over when the (D)'s are going to come up with a platform I can support and the only answer I ever get is "Trump is bad". I'm not going to vote for that.
