OK, it's a fact that most "unpleasant" news is given out on Friday so people pay less attention to it...I think this over-long campaign is one big "Friday night". Oh, ya, sex scandals will get attention but the following is one of those quiet little things that's really a pretty big thing hidden by campaign blab and sex giggles.

The resignation of Navy Adm. William J. Fallon as commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East:
For Fallon, the perception of a disagreement with Bush's policies on Iran rather than an actual rift was enough reason to step down.

This is pretty big news. He's stepping down because he disagrees with the administration's policy with Iran. He's been in the way of war. Anyone really think the Bush administration is going out quietly? We may have one more war to consider by the time we get to 1/20/09.

Bush has already stated publicly that he believes Mossad's intelligence reports over 16 of our own intelligence agencies. If the election hands the presidency to the Democrats, I'd be willing to eat my hat that he bombs Iran.
