As for the 2012 election I felt Obama needed a second chance because whether you were Republican or Democrat you couldn't undo the mess he inherited like the terrible economy ,and 2 wars in just 4 years. So I decided to give him a chance instead of staying home ,and voted for him again.
Sounds like you will vote for Trump in the next election since things were even worse when he took office. Since you wanted Bernie at least you will get many of the things he was promising to do, right? You already got TPP flushed away!
First time voting was 1972, main reason was to get rid of that low life scum liar Nixon. I was only18, but knew I had to try to do something.. Never met a Republican I could tolerate. Reagan was nauseating, and both Bushes. Hillary was also a big disappointment, so I voted for Bernie and his European style Socialism. Works there, why not here? Better than the status quo.

I have lost count, voted in every election since 1970. Several times I left the presidential selection blank, when I didn't like any of the candidates. I don't vote for the lesser of two evils.
i voted for the first time as an 18 year old in 1966 to re-elect Republican Senator John Sherman Cooper. I don't think I've voted for an R since because John Sherman Coopers are generally hard to find, and virtually non-existent in the current GOP.
I've voted in 12 Presidential elections, including once by absentee ballot from the Gulf of Tonkin, with a won/loss record of 5-7 for a less than stellar winning percentage of .4166.
I'm 73. I've voted every time I could except one, and that was the Romney/0bama one. I couldn't vote for either of them since I thoroughly despise both of them. And to be honest, I voted for McCain ONLY to vote for Sarah Palin. I thoroughly despise McCain, too.
I've got a lot of wins. I'm kinda ashamed to admit I even voted for Carter once. The time he won. Of course I voted for Bush and Dole rather than Clinton. Those were losses for me (and the country).

Ummm, things were even worse when Obama took the office, some progress was made and is still being made, not sure how you can claim it was worse for trump unless you were still in you teens until last year and missed those 8 years? Unfortunately, for you and trump, it does not look like things are going the way they planned and it is not out of the question that trump will no longer be in office come 2020 for a variety of reasons.
2 elections for me. First time voting was in 2012. I turned 18 a few months after the 2008 election, so I just barely missed that one. I voted for Obama in '12 and Hillary in '16.
