We would be fine, you can't see what will unfold in any administration but I trust his decisionmaking abilities.

Our country will survive no matter who is in the White House. A President is not a dictator with absolute power. It is the Senate and Congress' responsibility to keep him/her in check and the voters' responsibility not to give too much power to one party either.

True....and Mr. Obama could get in a car accident and be killed tomorrow, and Ms. Clinton could get pneumonia and die tomorrow. You nor anyone else knows when anyone is going to die. Yes, if you go by acutarial (sp) tables McCaine has higher chance, but then you factor in genetics and his mother is still around. Where are Mr. Obama's parents? Dead. Oh, oh...maybe we really should be worrying about him instead of McCain.

As a lifelong democrat I believe we could not only survive a McCain Presidency but I think he is the only one of the three who can finish Iraq the right way and also cut down on government spending and get rid of dead government jobs that we do not need.
I ask myself could I survive four years of Obama or Hillary and the answer is no. So, I am crossing over the line and voting for McCain.

We can and will survive any type of administration as long as the majority of Americans don't allow the nation to fall apart. Remember that the most powerful force in the United States is not the President, not the Congress, but the free market. If people remain productive, if our military remains strong & prepared, and if capitalism is allowed to prevail, this country can survive anything.

McCain is not a clone of Bush as some would like to believe. McCain is much more mature, intelligent, and experienced than Bush could ever hope to be! Besides, McCain has clearly stated that he doesn't agree with Bush on some of his policies. He has his faults, but he is the most qualified for the job thus far.

I don't think any of the Three Stooges has our nation's best interest at heart. I do think they have their egos and agendas to look after first. So am looking for a place to hide, and no, it won't be pretty, no matter which of the three dhimlibs gets into the WH.

He may look "pasty", but I suspect he is fairly hardy still. After all, he survived Hanoi Hilton for years. Probably comes from good stock.

Don't forget the clubbing of baby seals...there will be no seals left by the end of a McCain presidency!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in favor of a McCain presidency...but I think this country will survive. I'm even more against an Obama or Clinton presidency but I know that in 4 years we'll have another chance to pick a different president.

In the meantime...lets start demanding from Congress that they do their job!

We can survive anyhting because the president only has so much power. I remember this same worry from folks during most presdient terms especailly carters and johnson's.Ialso hope we get better choices than these promise the world candidates next time.
