Don't underestimate the politics of companies in blue states. Especially after Republicans weaponized their tax plan to hurt blue states and colleges with admitted deliberation. It's not like red states focus on turning out highly educated workers sought by companies. Red states consider college "elitist" and want to bring back coal. Not hiring red states workers is pretty easy and blue states are already working with each other in a regionalized way more than red states realize or admit.
70,000 actual votes. Regardless of the size of the votes, Hillary was soundly rejected. Move along.

I don't consider college "elitist" per se, however, my problem with college's now is that they feed and poison the mind of kids by spewing liberal propaganda. They don't even let Republican speakers speak on campuses. Then the kids become spoiled brats who think they are entitled to everything in life. Education is important, no doubt, but when it poisons the mind of kids, then it's an issue.

...oh, and who are “the very rich”?
The people who say the rich should pay more are dumb. They worked hard to get where they got in life. Republicans recognize that, while The Democrats punish them by raising their taxes to benefit the minimum wage McDonald's Worker.

Well, those supposedly Liberal companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Ebay and others can pay more taxes out of the goodness of their hearts

Bill has been a bad boy, but they do seem to really love each other, through thick and thin.

"Even if he was Muslim" He's obviously not Muslim, as he is a Christian, fully indoctrinated by his pastor, of 2 decades, Reverand Wright. After freeing and trading Terrorists who have returned to the battlefield to kill us, I think its pretty obvious who his loyalties are with.

Not all the wealthy “worked hard” to get their money. Much of it is inherited. They enjoy all the fruits of living in the USA and should pay their share. They use the roads, water, airports, courts, public safety agencies, etc., like all of us do.

The poor McDonald’s (and all workers who work at low paying jobs) need a break. Do you think these jobs should go unfilled? Should the person who checks you out at Walmart or CVS be eliminated? I think you are being very selfish. Have you ever been poor? It’s hard and not necessarily that person’s fault.

They don’t use those things any more or less than you do, yet they already pay a lot more to use them than you do. So what is your issue?

The National Debt is awful and Trump gave you a big tax cut. You can afford to pay more and you should. If you are an anesthesiologist, your average in 2016 was $336,000 unless you were self employed, in which case you would earn even more. You can afford to pay extra, plus you probably get lots of deductions. The rich have gotten richer the last few years from the stock market, while those who don't have 401K's or stock portfolios have had stagnant wages. Just ask the guy who cleans your expensive car...

My husband and I are in the top 5% of tax payers in this country. Our effective tax rate is comparative to people who make millions of dollars a year.

That’s insane. I don’t even know how that is defensible. We don’t make anywhere near seven figures a year.
