The midterms are still an eternity away in terms of the political news cycle, and anything can happen between now and then. It makes sense that if people feel good about their economic situation, they will be less inclined to replace the party in power (i.e. Republicans), but that isn't the only criteria that influences their vote.
Who is up and who is down can change in the blink of an eye in politics. Right now we're up. A few weeks ago Dems were up.
The worst thing that Republican voters can do is take anything for granted - that includes polls, trends, media reports, talking head opinions, stock market numbers, jobs reports, scandals and anything else related to politics. We MUST vote in November. We must. No matter what.
