Well that is good. I liked Mitt until he unloaded on Trump like a Dem would but he has come around now to realize that it is better to work with then against a duly elected President.

Good luck Mittens.

I think Mitt will be one of the least 'in lock step' R Senators in terms of Trump. He has previously spoken out against a number of Trump statements and actions. Utah is also very unique in being hugely Republican but not very pro-Trump.

I also think he has a better grasp of business and economics than 95% of the current Senators. And his personal conduct has been bullet proof.

I would be a lot happier if we were in the second term of Romney as president instead of where we are now.

Sure did in 2012; so did my wife, And would vote for him without hesitation if he was running in 2020, though I would prefer not to have to take Ryan with him, this time.

I was surprised Romney didn't win the nomination with no opposition. He came in a close second in the Utah GOP caucus to State Rep. Mike Kennedy before the primary election.

Romney has Utah's favorite son ever since he saved the Salt Lake City Olympics, even though he hand't ever lived there at the that time. Later, he purchased a vacation home in Utah, but he didn't move there on a permanent basis until 2014.

He's a very interesting guy to me.
He has only won election once, in liberal Massachusetts, for a single term, and has dropped clear out of politics for many years, but managed to become a Presidential nominee. And now, he's attempting a 3rd act, something that's very rare at any level in our political system.

At age 71. After 2012, I thought one of his sons would run for office later, but I never though Mitt would attempt another comeback.

It's really bad when a politician wants it so bad that they will move to where they believe they can get elected.
