Bush/McCain policies enabled the current economic situation and their incompetence will allow it to continue. McCain gave a speech just this week to say that he has no idea of what to do.

He, like Bush and many other conservatives are tragically incompetent in foreign policy matters as well. What’s worse, is that they don’t grasp the correlation between the economy and foreign policy.

Rightwingers do not believe in accountability and have let billions go “lost” in “I-Rack” as their friends are war profiteers (maybe one day the might even understand geo-politics, but first they could at least pronounce the country correctly and learn about the different I-Rack-ees).

They allow energy companies to get away with murder (like the fake Cali energy crisis) and murder again when such a company cooks their books.

And of course, any attempt to improve the economic achievement for working class Americans is labeled socialism, as the only money well spent is on no bid contracts and bailing out incompetent, if not criminal CEO’s.

The current GOP’s base is of a fundamentalist “faith” that more parallels the governing and moral compass of the Taliban than Jesus Christ. And it is with this premise, that the Constitution faces such resentment from right wingers. Any idea of ‘freedom” and “liberty” with this crowd, is embraced as much as personal responsibility – which is never.

They say that government does not work and then they continue to prove it.

Cape? I guess some people want fantasies. Fine stick with McCain's proven incompetence that brought us the fiscal situation we are in now.

The rest of us want competent, common sense from leaders who work with rational experts.

What you both don't understand is that the two major parties are going to run this country into the ground. Pick your poison... and keep arguing over which one will kill you quicker.

Who says this board doesn't provide comic relief. Here's the proof.

By the way, it IS true that Bush caused Hurricane Katrina.

He sure as hell didn't do a damn thing to prevent it so he might as well claim he caused it. Back when people were asking for funding when the levy system cost 3 billion to fix it was not in his budget then and no plans for it. Katrina slams NO. and now it cost 12 billion to repair the entire levy system and billions more to rebuild NO. Penny wise and pound foolish!

Of course, you have to bring up Katrina since you can't defend the fake Cali energy crisis, the incompetent foreign policies, coupled with ridiculous economic and domestic policies... not to mention turning most every Federal agency into a partisan machine, outing a NOC CIA and her front company for their own political gain etc.

And the sarcasm with bringing Katrina isn’t the brightest way to distract on your part either. As noted, President Fredo’s government could have provided support in the levy upgrades and had President Fredo's economic policies not been in effect, class warfare on the lower classes, some post flooding tragedy could have been prevented.

The issues go beyond the soundbytes of the fast food AM radio entertainers.
